STC Women's Commission Holds Regular Meeting for May


The Women Commission assisting the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held, on Monday, in the capital, Aden, its second meeting for the month of May, chaired by Dr. Suhair Ali Ahmed, Head of the Commission.

Initially, the Commission discussed a range of topics, with a focus on a report by the General Secretariat of the STC's Presidium on the challenges facing the capital, Aden, as well as the living and service conditions.

Furthermore, the Head of the Commission stressed the importance of providing opportunities for Southern women to participate in training and qualification programs at both the local and international levels to enhance their skills and capabilities and empower them politically and culturally during the current phase.

Similarly, the meeting also reviewed several proposals submitted to develop the work of the Women's Commission and how to address the challenges that accompany the work of promoting the Women's Commission and finding solutions to address them.

The meeting concluded with a number of recommendations in the interest of the Southern homeland and promoted the role of Southern women in preparation for submission to the Presidium of the STC.
