STC Presidium Appreciates Brotherly Support of UAE and Humanitarian Stances Towards People of the South

 

The Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its regularly scheduled meeting today, Tuesday, chaired by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC.

At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by the heads of the auxiliary bodies, the Presidium listened to a briefing by the head of the Humanitarian Aid and Relief Commission (HARC), Niran Souqi, during which she reviewed in numbers the process of distributing Ramadan food baskets provided by President Al-Zubaidi to the families of the martyrs throughout the governorates of the South, with the support of the official brothers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in addition to the latest arrangements to launch the second phase of the campaign, which will target poor and needy families.

The Presidium lauded the efforts of President Al-Zubaidi in providing care to the families of the martyrs and the wounded, supporting poor and needy families, and his keenness to alleviate their suffering during the blessed month of Ramadan, renewing its thanks, appreciation, and gratitude to the official brothers in the UAE for their permanent fraternal and humanitarian stances towards our people and various peoples around the world in a continuation of the humanitarian approach established by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan; may Allah the Almighty bestow on him His vast mercy. 

Similarly, the meeting listened to a briefing by a member of the STC's Presidium, Mr. Mohammad Al-Ghaithi, about the visit of the delegation assigned by President Al-Zubaidi to go to Shabwa Governorate to assess the overall political, military, security, and health conditions and the organizational performance of the Local Leadership Executive Body (LLEB) of the STC in the governorate.

In the briefing, Mr. Al-Ghaithi reviewed the results of the meetings held by the delegation with the leadership of the local authority in Shabwa Governorate, represented by Governor Awad bin Al-Wazir, representatives of political parties and components, social figures, military and security leaders, and the set of challenges facing the local authority and the LLEB in the governorate, as well as ways that would contribute to solving them.

In this respect, the Presidium praised the great efforts made by Governor Bin Al-Wazir to improve the public situation in the governorate, as well as the efforts of the security and military services in maintaining security and stability, and confronted the ongoing attacks by the Houthi militias on the positions of the southern forces stationed on the frontlines in the Bayhan and Markha districts, renewing in this context its support for all measures taken by Governor Bin Al-Wazir to maintain security and stability in the governorate.

In another context, the Presidium discussed the latest developments related to the process of opening the land port north of Al Dhalea Governorate, highlighting its support for the directives issued by President Al-Zubaidi yesterday, Monday, to form a committee of specialists in the local authority and the LLEB of the governorate and the command of the axis to prepare an integrated plan to open the port in accordance with the ceasefire procedures included in the UN roadmap and in response to humanitarian calls on the occasion of the blessed month.

In its meeting, the Presidium went through the matrix presented by the Economic and Service Commission assisting the Presidium of the STC, which included urgent and pressing economic issues, and a set of solutions and mechanisms to solve them.

At the end of its meeting, the Presidium touched on a range of organizational topics and developments on the local and international scene related to the cause of the people of the South and took the appropriate measures in this regard.
