STC's Presidium Condemns IIsraeli Occupation Massacre at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza Strip

The Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting today, Thursday, chaired by Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the STC and Chairman of the National Assembly.

In the beginning of its meeting, the Presidium stood before local, regional, and international political developments in light of a briefing by the deputy head of the Political Commission assisting the Presidium of the Council, Dr. Khaled Bamdhaf. In this regard, the Presidium condemned the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces in bombing Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in the Gaza Strip, where hundreds of innocent civilians were killed, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities in stopping the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against innocent people in the Gaza Strip.

Furthermore, the Presidium discussed the security plan approved by the Security Committee in the capital, Aden, to enhance the security situation and maintain the stability gains witnessed in the capital by ending certain negative phenomena, with a focus on the seizure of motorcycles and unnumbered cars and preventing carrying and roaming around with unlicensed weapons in the various districts. In this context, the Presidium affirmed its support for all the efforts made by the security units in the capital, Aden, stressing the importance of enhancing coordination and integration of tasks between the security units on the one hand and the legal authorities on the other hand.

In another context, the Presidium lauded the great successes achieved in the visit of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi to the United States of America, his participation in the meetings of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), and the success fulfilled by the high-ranking delegation of the STC in its meetings with American policymakers in Washington. It took place during its discussion of a report submitted by Dr. Saleh Mohsen Al-Haj, director of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs of the STC.

To the end of its meeting, the Presidium touched on a range of organizational topics and issues on its agenda and took the appropriate measures.
