President Al-Zubaidi receives Delegation of dignitaries from Al-Mahra and Socotra, headed by Sultan Abdullah Al-Afrar

The President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), the Deputy chairman of Presidential Leadership Council, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, at his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on Tuesday evening, received a delegation of dignitaries and notables from Al-Mahra and Socotra governorates, headed by Sultan Abdullah Bin Issa Al-Afrar, member of the Presidency of the STC, head of the General Council for the people of Al-Mahra and Socotra governorates.

At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by Major General Salem Abdullah Al-Soqtri, Deputy Secretary-General of the Presidency of the STC, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries, and Eng. Raafat Al-Thaqali, Head of the Executive Body of the Local leadership of the STC in Socotra Archipelago, 

The president Al-Zubaidi welcomed the dignitaries and notables of the two governorates, stressed that the STC and the Presidential Leadership Council pays a special attention to these governorates, paralleling the geographical and strategic importance, in the context, stressed importance of cohesion, alignment and teamwork to boost and consolidate the pillars of security and stability in the two governorates.

The president Al-Zubaidi listened from the visiting delegation a detailed explanation of the living conditions in light of the exceptional conditions in the country, assured that the leadership of the Presidential Council will spare no effort to support the local authorities in the two governorates to enable the citizens to enjoy their full and undiminished rights.

For their part, the dignitaries and notables of al- Mahra and Socotra offered congratulations to the president on the formation of the Presidential Leadership Council and the success of Riyadh consultations, affirming their full support and cooperation with the president and his colleagues in the Presidential Leadership Council to accomplish the assigned national tasks.

They also renewed their confidence in the president as the representative of the people of the South from al-Mahra to al-Mandab strait, to achieve the aspirations of  self-determination and restore the State in its full sovereignty.
