President Al-Zubaidi Reviews Progress of Diplomatic Missions with Foreign Affairs Minister

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and vice chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met today, Thursday, in the capital, Aden, with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates (FAE) Dr. Shaea al-Zandani.

During the meeting, attended by Muhammad Abdullah Al-Hadhrami, ambassador to the Czech Republic, and Salem Ahmed Belfaqih, ambassador to Indonesia, both of whom had just sworn their constitutional oath before the chairman of the PLC. The discussions focused on the current status of diplomatic missions and representations abroad, along with the challenges they face amid the country’s exceptional circumstances.

President Al-Zubaidi stressed the need to elevate diplomatic engagements and enhance proactive communication with brotherly and friendly countries to gain political, economic, and humanitarian support; create sustainable partnerships that contribute to bolstering development and stability; and open new horizons for development, investments, and vital projects much needed at this critical stage.

In the same context, the meeting discussed consular facilities and services provided to citizens abroad, where President Al-Zubaidi emphasized the need to advance consular performance, improve the level of services provided to expatriates, and streamline their procedures in embassies and consulates.
