President Al-Zubaidi Arrives in Socotra Archipelago on Inspection Visit to the Governorate
President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), arrived in the Socotra Archipelago governorate on Monday afternoon, marking the first visit to the archipelago, where his Excellency was accompanied by several members of the STC’s Presidium and ministers of the government.
Upon their arrival at Socotra International Airport, President Al-Zubaidi and his accompanying delegation were welcomed by Eng. Rafat Al-Thaqali, Socotra Governor, and Mr. Saeed bin Qublan, head of the local leadership executive body (LLEB) of the STC in the governorate, alongside local authority officials, STC local leaders, military commanders and senior security officers, tribal sheikhs, notables, and social personalities.
The visit focuses on the governorate’s conditions, finds out about the concerns and aspirations of its citizens, reviews the progress of development and service projects, and explores avenues to bolster stability and development in the archipelago.
