President Al-Zubaidi Chairs Meeting of STC's Bodies in Hadramaut Governorate

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), chaired a meeting on Sunday evening with the local leadership executive bodies (LLEBs) of the STC in Hadhramaut Governorate, the Assistant LLEB for the Affairs of the Valley and Desert Districts, and the STC’s Coordination body at Hadhramaut University.

At the beginning of the meeting, attended by Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri, Chairman of the National Assembly; two members of the STC's Presidium, including Mr. Fadi Baoum and lawyer Yahya Ghalib Al-Shua'ibi; and Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, head of the political body, President Al-Zubaidi expressed his happiness at meeting the STC’s local leaders in Hadhramaut, lauded their sense of national duty and their concerted efforts to amplify the Council’s institutional influence within the governorate through strategic organizational and political initiatives aimed at fortifying its societal presence and integration.

President Al-Zubaidi outlined recent political developments on both domestic and international fronts, noting that the cause of the South has reached progress in various international fora, asserting that it now occupies a priority in regional and international attention and has reached advanced stages within key decision-making centers.

President Al-Zubaidi reiterated that the STC has solidified its position as a pivotal actor in the political landscape, continuing its diplomatic and political efforts to advance the cause of the people of the South and fulfill their aspirations to restore their state with its full sovereignty.

In his remarks, President Al-Zubaidi also touched on the dire circumstances facing Hadhramaut Governorate, stressed the necessity of increasing contact and strengthening communication with citizens, finding out about their concerns and aspirations, and intensifying efforts to provide solutions to the governorate’s pressing issues.

President Al-Zubaidi stressed the critical need to engage openly with diverse political and civil society groups, calling for cohesiveness to tackle security, economic, and public service-related challenges, and emphasized that such collaboration is vital to bolstering stability and advancing development efforts in the governorate.

The meeting focused on the organizational performance of the STC in the governorate. President Al-Zubaidi listened to reports on the work of the LLEBs, activities, and programs implemented over the past period. Discussions also covered future plans, mechanisms to bolster organizational effectiveness, key challenges faced by the LLEBs, proposed solutions to address them, and the appropriate measures to be taken.
