President Al-Zubaidi Reviews Challenges in Oil Sector and Efforts to Meet Local Market Demands

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met on Monday with Dr. Saeed Al-Shamasi, Minister of Oil and Minerals.

President Al-Zubaidi was briefed by Dr. Al-Shammasi on the progress of work within the ministry and the status of various oil sectors, as well as the key challenges facing the ministry, particularly following the halt in export operations due to the Houthis' frequent attacks on key oil export facilities like Al-Dhaba and Al-Nushaymah ports.

The president also received a detailed briefing on the ministry’s ongoing efforts and the work of its offices across the governorates to maintain a stable supply status of petroleum-based derivatives to the local market.

President Al-Zubaidi emphasized the importance of stepping up efforts to secure adequate supplies of petroleum-based derivatives for the local market and ensure uninterrupted supply chains to meet the demands of citizens and vital sectors.
