The Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its regular meeting today, Thursday, chaired by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC, in the presence of the STC's ministers in the government and heads of the auxiliary bodies.
In the beginning of its meeting, the Presidium extended its congratulations and best wishes to all the people of our Southern homeland and their heroic armed forces on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, praying to Allah, the Almighty, to make it a month of goodness, blessings, triumph, and empowerment, and to bring it back to our people with all their aspirations and goals fulfilled, for which they have immensely been sacrificing everything valuable, including their precious souls.
Following this, the Presidium reviewed the measures taken by the STC's leadership to complete the restructuring process and enhance the performance of its various bodies, emphasizing leveraging the competencies, capabilities, and cadres within the council across different fields to ensure integrated work among the bodies under a clear vision that reflects the priorities of the current phase and serves the higher interests of the people of the South.
The Presidium focused on the results of the work undertaken by the committee assigned by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi to secure the necessary fuel supplies for operating power stations in the capital, Aden, during the holy month of Ramadan, whose efforts culminated in the arrival of the first fuel shipments over the past two days, which is expected to alleviate the electricity crisis and improve the level of services provided to citizens during this blessed month.
In this context, the Presidium commended the significant efforts that have been made by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi and his tireless engagements on various fronts to alleviate the suffering of citizens, highlighting his ongoing dedication to providing immediate and sustainable solutions to the service-related issues that impact their daily lives.
The Presidium stressed the importance of the government and the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) to fully assume their responsibilities by taking all urgent and necessary measures to secure electricity fuel for the coming summer season, which is now imminently fast approaching, to ensure the continued operation of the power system within its available capacity, preventing any crisis that could adversely affect citizens' lives and exacerbate their suffering.
The Presidium reaffirmed that the STC will pursue its efforts, in coordination with all relevant authorities, to ensure the stability of service and improve living conditions and to enhance essential services. This commitment aligns with its responsibilities toward the people of the south, striving to fulfill their aspirations for security, stability, and sustainable development.
