President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met today, Sunday, with the heads of the permanent committees in the Council of Advisors of the STC.
At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Advisors, Mr. Ahmed Al-Rabizi, President Al-Zubaidi welcomed the heads of the permanent committees in their first meeting with him after their newly appointed decree. His excellency expressed his confidence in their ability to enhance the organizational work of the STC, given their rich history of unrelenting struggle, scientific competence, and practical experience, each in his or her respective fields.
The President emphasized the importance of discipline, commitment, and working in accordance with the regulations and systems that define the tasks and responsibilities of each committee and in a teamwork spirit as the basis of the Council's work, stressing the need to coordinate efforts with the rest of the central bodies and assist the STC in achieving its goals and fulfilling the aspirations of the people of the South.
In turn, the heads of the committees expressed their gratitude and appreciation to President Al-Zubaidi for the trust he placed in them to assume this great responsibility within the framework of the STC, affirming their full readiness to exert their utmost efforts to achieve the goals of the STC on the path to achieving the ultimate goal of the people of the South, which is to restore and build a federal state of the South on the entire internationally recognized national soil until May 21, 1990.
President Al-Zubaidi then listened to a number of proposals and initial plans prepared by the heads of the permanent committees for the second half of the current year 2024, in accordance with the tasks and responsibilities stipulated in the Council's internal regulations, and approved what was appropriate in this regard.
