President Al-Zubaidi: We are working hard to empower women of the South in all fields

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), reiterated the keenness of the STC's leadership to support and empower women of the South, enhance their presence in various fields, and enable them to effectively participate in decision-making.

This came during his meeting today, Saturday, at his office in the capital, Aden, with Ms. Nada Awbali, Head of the General Union of Southern Women (GUSW), and a number of members of the union's executive body.

President Al-Zubaidi listened to the GUSW's head for a detailed explanation of the plans and programs that the union's headship is working on to improve the situation of Southern women and enhance their participation in shaping the future of the aspired state of the South. In this regard, President Al-Zubaidi affirmed that the STC pays special attention to Southern women in a way that enables them to regain their leading role in all fields.

In turn, the Head of the GUSW thanked President Al-Zubaidi for his great interest in the issues of Southern women, expressing her gratitude and appreciation for his stances in supporting Southern women, his great appreciation for their struggles, and his keenness to empower them to effectively participate in decision-making.

The meeting was attended by Major General Kamal Hamshari, a member of the STC's Presidium and Director of the Office of the President of the STC.
