STC President Issues Decree No. 20 of 2024 on Establishing Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Authority

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zoubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), issued on Monday, March 18, decree No. 20 of 2024, regarding the establishment of the STC’s Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Authority.

The first article stipulated that, in accordance with the provisions of this decree, the Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Authority of the STC be established, and the framework of the STC’s General Directorate of Foreign Affairs and its staff be integrated within this authority. The internal regulations of the Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Authority determine the organizational structure of the Authority, its tasks and jurisdictions, and its relationship with other bodies and commissions.

The second article of this decree is stipulated to be enforced from the date of its issuance; any prior decree that contradicts its provisions shall be considered nil and void and to be published in the official gazette of the STC.
