President Al-Zubaidi Chairs Meeting of the STC Secretariat and Stresses Importance of Strengthening its Work

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), chaired the periodic meeting of the General Secretariat of the Presidium of the STC in the capital, Aden, on Wednesday.

President Al-Zubaidi urged the heads of departments and their deputies to double their efforts and mobilize energies, follow up on the performance of the Local Leadership Executive Body (LLEB) in the governorates and districts, and directly supervise their activities, programs, and events as per the plans prepared by the auxiliary commissions of the STC.

President Al-Zubaidi highlighted the importance of integration between the work of the Secretariat departments as executive bodies, and the auxiliary commissions assisting the Presidium of the STC, as they are responsible for planning, policy-making, and following-up. His Excellency also emphasized the importance of coordinating their work with the rest of the STC's bodies and specialized centers to ensure the achievement of the planned goals.

For his part, Mr. Fadhl Mohammed Al-Gaadi, member of the STC's Presidium and Secretary-General of the Secretariat, expressed his thanks and gratitude to President Al-Zubaidi for his direct follow-up of the work of the departments of the Secretariat and his keenness to improve their performance, strengthen their role in the governorates and districts, and overcome the challenges they face. He stressed that the Secretariat, with all its departments, will work to implement whatever is mentioned in President Al-Zubaidi's speech during the meeting as an integrated action matrix.

In its meeting, the Secretariat reviewed the political report submitted by the Political Department, which included a presentation of the latest political developments in the South in light of the Houthi escalation on international maritime navigation and its repercussions on the humanitarian and economic situation in the country.

The meeting also reviewed and approved the minutes of the previous meeting.
