President Al-Zoubaidi Gets Briefed on Upgrading the Southern Radio and Television Sector

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zoubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), paid an inspection visit on Sunday to the southern radio and television sector in the capital, Aden, where his excellency was received by the head of the sector, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh.

At the beginning of the visit, President Al-Zoubaidi held a meeting with the head of the sector and his sections, listening to a detailed explanation from them about the modernization and upgrading that have taken place in the sector as part of the efforts made by the head of the sector to keep pace with the accelerated development of the media space both regionally and internationally.

During the meeting, the President was briefed on the plans for the year 2024, commending the remarkable efforts and achievements in the media authority in general and the Aden Independent Channel (AIC) in particular, and its full keeping pace with all events of the South and activities internally and externally at a level no less advanced than the rest of the channels with a long career in this field.

To the end of the meeting, President Al-Zoubaidi stressed the importance of maintaining the fast-accelerating pace of work and making the utmost efforts to convey the message and voice of the people of the South and express their aspirations. In this context, his excellency renewed his support for the southern media authority to advance its performance and elevate it to the level of modern and advanced media.

For his part, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh appreciated the President's keenness to visit the sector and his continued follow-up on its progress, stressing that the frequent visits of President Al-Zoubaidi to the sector represent the greatest motivation for the sector’s members and staff to continue efforts, work at a high pace, and develop their professional and technical content.

Mr. Al-Sheikh pointed out that the headship of the sector is looking forward to providing a targeted media message with the highest means and technologies to convey the voice of the people of the South, defend their cause, and express their goals and aspirations.

At the end of his visit, President Al-Zoubaidi toured the sections of the sector and got familiar with the progress of work therein, and the quality of modern devices and technologies that have recently entered into service to raise the quality of content broadcast to southern viewers and listeners on radio and television.
