President Al-Zoubaidi Gives Directives to RBMF to Take Charge of Weighing Bridges

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zoubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), has given directives to the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund (RBMF) to take charge of weighing bridges (Truck Weighing Bridges) on the roads connecting the capital Aden and the rest of the governorates.

This came during the meeting on Sunday with the director-general of the Board of Directors of the RBMF in Aden-Headquarters, Eng. Muein Al-Mas, where his excellency was briefed on the progress of work on main and branch road maintenance projects in a number of governorates, the overall difficulties facing the BOD of the Fund, and ways that can effectively contribute to overcoming the challenges.

In the meeting, President Al-Zoubaidi stressed the importance of the RBMF performing its role in managing weighing bridges, as the body that is responsible for road safety and maintenance, and underscored the importance of adopting major weighing bridges and removing all minor ones.

President Al-Zoubaidi also directed the BOD of the RBMF to expedite maintenance work on main roads in a number of governorates, reiterating his support for the efforts exerted to rehabilitate and maintain roads.
