President Al-Zubaidi Receives Deputy Foreign Minister of Slovenia

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), received at his residence in New York City today, Friday, H.E. Samuel Žbogar, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia.

In the meeting held on the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, President Al-Zubaidi reviewed the latest developments in the political and humanitarian situation in the country, the efforts exerted by the regional and international community to durably end the war and bring about peace, and the commitment to keeping the Yemen conflict on the diplomatic agenda and to be active towards a just political solution for the people of the South.

President Al-Zubaidi pointed out that the presence of the PLC in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly will hopefully bring the humanitarian crisis file in the country back to the forefront of international focus and attention.

For his part, the Slovenian Deputy Foreign Minister expressed his thanks to President Al-Zubaidi for the opportunity to meet with him and to be exposed to the latest developments in the situation in the country at a time when Slovenia is preparing to join as a member of the Security Council next October.
