President Al-Zubaidi Reviews ongoing Arrangements to Launch Future Aden Airport Project

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (LPC), was briefed on the ongoing arrangements to launch work on the future Aden Airport project during his meeting today, Saturday, with the Minister of Transportation, Dr. Abdulsalam Saleh Humaid.

President Al-Zubaidi listened to Dr. Abdul Salam Humaid, who gave a brief explanation of what was accomplished by the technical committee in charge of preparing the architectural and construction designs for the airport as per the standards specified by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), in addition to the level of coordination between the Ministry of Transportation, the relevant ministries, the local authority, and security services to ensure adequate protection for starting the work.

During the meeting, which was attended by the project manager of the future Aden airport project, Mr. Mohammed Thabet Al-Qadi, and Captain Kamal Mutlaq Al-Halimi, commander of the intervention unit for land disputes in the capital, Aden, President Al-Zubaidi gave directives to expedite completing the remaining procedures, start construction works, and ease any difficulties that may hinder the progress of work on this strategic project, which would make a qualitative leap in the infrastructure of the transportation sector in the capital, Aden, and the South in general.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Emad Mohammed, Office Head of the Vice President of the PLC, and Mr. Bassam Al-Muflahi, Office Head of the Minister of Transportation.
