STC Secretary General Receives UN Representatives to Aden

 Secretary General of the Southern Transitional Council, Mr. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas received on Wednesday at the council premises in Aden, the general coordinator of the United Nations for humanitarian affairs (OCHA), André Rika and director of the United Nations Office for General Coordination and Security Affairs, Victor Fabian.

 During the meeting, the Secretary-General welcomed the UN officials, considering this visit as an evidence of the profound bilateral relations between the Southern Transitional Council and the United Nations offices.

 The Secretary-General stressed the need to strengthen relations and cooperation between the Southern Transitional Council and the United Nations bodies and organizations to facilitate their work and to create the appropriate climate for the implementation of UN projects and programs in Aden, especially in the humanitarian, aid relief and development areas.

 Lamlas made it clear that the Southern Transitional Council is keen to ensure the success of the United Nations efforts to promote peace.

 The meeting was attended by the member of the STC Presidency, Engineer Adnan Al-Kaf.
