Southern Transitional Council Presidency leaders meet European Union Ambassador and the European delegation

Members of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Major General Ahmed Saeed Ben Brik, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, and Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, the Secretary General of the Transitional Council, along with leaders from the Revolutionary Movement Council, met today with the European Union Ambassador to Yemen Ms. Antonia Calvo, the French Ambassador to Yemen, Cristiano Tisto, and Ricardo Villa Head of the Political Affairs, Press and Information Section, Deputy Head of European delegation, with the accompanying diplomats from France, Germany and the Netherlands.The meeting reviewed developments concerning the situation in Yemen in general and the issue of the South in particular.The leadership of the Southern Transitional Council and the representatives of the Revolutionary Movement Council presented to the European Union Ambassador a detailed explanation of the roots that cause the crisis throughout Yemen, and the details of the southern issue and their vision of appropriate solutions that should not undermine the right of Southerners for self-determination.The Southern side provided detailed reports on the humanitarian situation in the south and the violations against southerners, in addition to the role of the people of the South in combating terrorism and achieving peace in the region.For her part, the Ambassador of the European Union to Yemen, expressed her happiness for this meeting and her optimism that these meetings will lead to a solution that suits all the southerners.
