Abyan responses to Southern Transitional Council call and protests against government corruption


A crowd of people from Abyan governorate marched protesting in Zinjibar, the province capital,. The protesters marched with revolutionary slogans calling on the government of corruption to abandon its policy of starvation, humiliation and raising prices.

The demonstrators also demanded the Arab coalition countries to intervene urgently to save the people of the south from the corruption of this government after its failure that led to the collapse of the economy.

 Salim Doan, member of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Zanzibar and the Chairman of the Preparatory Committee, made a speech in which he stressed that the people of the South have not and will not bow to all restrictions exerted against their just cause at home and abroad.

The member of the presidency  of the Southern Transitional Council, the Brigadier General Nasser al-Saadi, delivered a speech in which he conveyed the greetings of the leader of the Transitional Council, Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, greeting the citizens of Abyan and their departure in protesting against the policy of the government of Ben Dagher.

In his turn, the deputy head of the local leadership of the southern transitional council in Abyan province, Mohsen Abd Said, confirmed the absolute rejection of any negotiations that the southern cause with its representative the southern transitional council is not included in it.The protesting event witnessed speeches representing  women of the governorate and a number of revolutionary poetic poems that expressed the situation of the people of the South.
