The STC Presidency Discusses its Plan for the Second Half of 2018

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held its ordinary meeting today, chaired by the secretary general of the Council, Mr. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas to discuss the STC work plan for the second half-year term.

The meeting also discussed the recent developments in the South, especially the phenomenon of random construction and trespassing lands and public places. The STC Presidency expressed its rejection to this exotic phenomenon, affirming that the local authorities are responsible for stopping these attacks and for bringing the perpetrators to justice. The STC Presidency called all the southerners to stand together against this phenomenon.

The meeting touched on the protests of the officers and members of the armed forces, organized by the Southern Supreme Military Commission against nonpayment of their salaries and abusing their legal rights. The STC Presidency declared its full solidarity with them, calling Hadi's legitimacy to assume its responsibility in paying their salaries and giving them their legal rights.

The STC Presidency also discussed the protest staged by the teachers of Aden University over salary settlement, calling the concerned authorities to resolve their issues.
