Major General Ahmed Saeed Bin Brik, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council, Chairman of the National Assembly, today, Tuesday, met in his office with Dr. Khaldoon Salim Saleh, Program Director at the United Nations Office for Project Services "UNOPS".
The meeting discussed the organization's interventions during the previous period and the projects that will be started during the coming period at the level of the governorates of the South.
The meeting also touched on some of the problems and obstacles that stand in the way of the organization's work to implement its projects with the required manner and ways to address them so that the organization can perform its tasks and achieve community benefit from the services it provides.
Major General Bin Brik praised the role of the organization's work in projects that targeted infrastructure in the fields of roads, water, sanitation, public works projects and alternative energy, which directly serve citizens and facilitate their lives.
Major General Bin Brik stressed the keenness of the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council to meet the basic needs of the citizens by overcoming the difficulties in front of the work of international and regional organizations far from the political side in the South, calling at the same time the organization to present more projects that ease people's burdens of life.
