President Al-Zubaidi gets briefed on the situation in Abd al-Kuri Island

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, on Wednesday, met with representatives of the people of Abd al-Kuri Island, in which President Al-Zubaidi got briefed on the overall situation in the island, and listened to a detailed explanation of the living situation and the difficulties they face on the remote island that lacks the most basic services.

President Al-Zubaidi  got acquainted, by the representatives of the island's people, on the level of achievement in the rehabilitation courses for a number of the island's youth in the field of health, which he had previously adopted to run the health center on the island.

President Al-Zubaidi  directed to continue the rehabilitation program for the island's youth in the vital sectors that are of interest to the citizens, especially in the health and education sectors.

For their part, the representatives of the people of Abd al-Kuri expressed their deep thanks and gratitude to President Al-Zubaidi for his great concern and continuous follow-up to the conditions of the island and the needs of its residents, praising the generous support he provides to alleviate their suffering.

 At the end of the meeting, representatives of the people of Abd al-Kuri honored President Al-Zubaidi with a shield of loyalty on behalf of the people of the island.

The meeting was attended by Major General Salem Abdullah Al-Socotri, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries in the power-sharing government, and Dr. Salma Bazrea, deputy head of the Health and Environment Committee in the National Assembly.
