Presidency of STC calls on Arab coalition and Quad nations to urgently intervene to stop collapse of currency

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) called on the government of power-sharing and the Central Bank to assume their responsibilities to stop the deterioration of the economic situation, and the collapse of the local currency, and to provide services to citizens.

The Presidency stressed, during its meeting held today, Monday, chaired by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the President of STC, that all of these require speedy meeting of the government with all its members in the capital, Aden, and ceasing the unjustified absence of some ministers.

In its meeting, which was attended by the ministers of the Council in the government of power-sharing, the Presidency of the Council called on the Arab coalition countries and the Quad nations, to backing and support the power-sharing government to carry out its responsibilities to revive the deteriorating economy, stop the collapse of the local currency, improve services, and to pay salaries, warning of the continued state of collapse on the general situation, and what may result from its consequences that are difficult to be predicted.

In the meeting, the Presidency of the Council discussed the general developments, on the local and international arenas, that are related to the southern issue, stressing in this regard the need for the continuation of the state of emergency to confront the internal challenges represented by Houthi ambitions, and the efforts of terrorist groups to undermine the security and stability of the South, calling on all units of the southern armed forces and security and resistance formations, to remain in a state of maximum readiness, and permanent eagerness to confront those dangers along the southern borders.

The Presidency praised the citizens' interaction, response, and unlimited cooperation with the declared state of emergency, and their continuous support for security individuals in their national tasks.

In the same context, the Presidency of the Council drew the attention of the countries of the Arab coalition to the continuation of the Brotherhood leaders in the Yemeni legitimacy in their scandalous interaction with the Houthi militia, through the unjustified withdrawal and handing over their positions without resistance, including several equipment, and their continued intransigence to obstruct the efforts and endeavors of the southern resistance to confront the Houthi militias in the governorates of Abyan and Shabwa.
