Al-Afrar meets leadership of Transitional Council executive of Al-Mahra and social figures in the governorate

The member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, head of the General Council of the People of the governorates of Al-Mahra and Socotra, Sultan Abdullah bin Issa AlAfrar, met on Thursday, with

Dr. Salem Ali Al-Qumairi, Head of the Transitional Council Executive in Al-Mahra governorate, accompanied with his deputy, Hassan Mahdi Balhaf, and in presence of members of the Southern National Assembly, and of Transitional Council Executive and social figures in the governorate.

In the meeting, Sultan Abdullah Al-Afrar spoke about the governorate’s situation under the current circumstances and the changes it is witnessing in all fields, praising the positive role played by the local leadership of the Transitional Council in Al-Mahra in preserving the social fabric and southern identity.

For his part, Dr. Salem al-Qumairi affirmed the stance of the Transitional Council Executive in Al-Mahra by Sultan Al-Afrar, who is a comprehensive reference for the people of the governorates of Al-Mahra and Socotra, in confronting all conspiracies targeting the governorate and its social fabric.

Al-Qumairi stressed the need to enable the people of Al-Mahra to manage its affairs on the military and civil side, and to stop politicized job appointments from outside the governorate, and to adhere to their identity under the southern federal state.

 In the meeting, many opinions and proposals were put forward by the local leadership of Transitional Council in the governorate regarding the most prominent developments at the level of Al-Mahra in particular, and the southern arena and the issues affecting them in general.
