Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council holds its periodic meeting headed by President Al-Zubaidi

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held its periodic meeting, on Thursday, headed by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Council.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Council, Governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, and the Council's ministers in the government, in which the meeting reviewed the most important issues on its agenda and the level of implementation of the tasks assigned to members of the Presidency and ministers in various fields.

The Presidency of the Council got briefed on the activity of the negotiating delegation of the Transitional Council in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, and what it achieved in terms of the process of communication with the Saudi side, which sponsors the Riyadh Agreement, and with the rest of the regional and international parties, praising all the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to bring views closer and to reach to a comprehensive vision for the implementation of the remaining provisions of the Riyadh Agreement.

In the internal affairs, the Presidency congratulated the decisions issued by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi to the Council regarding the restructuring of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs of the Council, and the transfer of its headquarters to the capital, Aden, as well as the appointment of southern and diplomatic competencies as representatives of the Transitional Council in the most important countries and regional and international organizations as an entrance to strengthening institutional work, and developing the relations of the Transitional Council with the international community at all levels to serve the south and its cause, and to achieve the aspirations and legitimate goals of its people.

The Presidency of the Council also praised the decision of President Al-Zubaidi to establish the Southern Dialogue Team with various southern personalities and elites abroad, stressing the need to resume the "third phase" of dialogue process at the internal level, in parallel with the dialogues abroad, to enhance the unity and alignment of southerners in the order to restore and to build the full sovereignty federal state of the south.

The Presidency of the Council also praised the convening of the founding conference of the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives in the South under the auspices of President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, considering this as an entry point to enhance the role of farmers as a broad segment of society to develop agricultural production and to obtain the necessary support to expand the agricultural area in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture in the government of parity, and various parties related.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Presidency of the Council was briefed on the activity of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Council, and its specialized departments, praising this activity and its positive repercussions on the local executive bodies in all southern governorates.
