The Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council, Dr. Nasser Al-Khobaji, praised the national and humanitarian roles of the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled in the capital Aden, and for what it provides towards the groups with special needs.

This came during his meeting on Thursday, in the presence of Eng. Adnan Al-Kaf, the Acting Secretary-General, and Mr. Abdulrahman Sheikh, the member of the Presidency of the Council, with the Executive Director of the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled, Mr. Muhammad Qaid Al-Shairi, to check on the fund’s activities in its various departments and the most prominent services it provides.

The Acting President appreciated the achievements made by the Fund during the past years, stressing that caring for the physically disabled is an ethical responsibility and a national and humanitarian duty that falls on everyone's shoulders.

In the meeting, they discussed the current conditions of the fund, its level of activity, its most prominent achievements in recent years, and the challenges and difficulties it faces, and ways to reduce them in order to help the fund to continue its role in caring for and rehabilitating the disabled, whose numbers have doubled in recent years due to the war.

At the end of the meeting, Al-Shairi thanked the Transitional Council for its support and keenness to touch on the situation of the fund, stressing that this is not strange for the leadership of the Council represented by the President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, who supported the establishment of the fund and provided support to it.
