Dr. Al-Khobaji meets with leadership of High Military Authority of Southern Army and Security

Dr. Nasser Al-Khobaji, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, met on Thursday, with the leadership of the High Military Commission of the Southern Army and Security, headed by Major General Saleh Ali Zangul, Chairman of the Commission.

The meeting reviewed developments of the situation in the South and ways to solve urgent issues on the national arena, foremost of which is the payment of dues to the army and southern security personnel, and the improvement of economic and service conditions.

The meeting was attended by the Vice Chairman of the Supreme Military Authority for the Southern Army and Security, Brigadier General Saleh Al-Qadi, and Brigadier General Naji Al-Arabi, spokesperson for the authority, in which it touched on the event of last Tuesday, and the message it carried, and an evaluation of updates followed the event, where Dr. Al-Khobaji emphasized the STC's support for the people's demands and their right to demonstrate and protest peacefully, and the permanent bias of the Council to the side of the people and their right to express their rights peacefully.

Dr. Al-Khobaji also reaffirmed that the leadership of the Transitional Council highly appreciates the efforts made by the southern military, who have provided their efforts to serve their homeland in the South, and are keen to ensure that they get fully and uncompromisingly their rights, in which will spare no effort for that.

After extensive discussions, it was agreed that the protests should be suspended to give the government an opportunity to find serious and lasting solutions, foremost of which are the payment of salaries, and providing services, resolving the economic crisis, reforming the state's financial policies, and not to give a chance for stalkers who are seeking to confuse the situation and create chaos
