General Secretariat salutes Southern woman on her International Day and discusses crises of high prices and poor services

The General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held on Monday, its periodic meeting at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in the capital Aden.

In the meeting chaired by Mr. Fadl Mohammad Al-Jaadi, Deputy Secretary-General, the General Secretariat saluted Southern, Arab and international women on their International Day.

Al-Jaadi praised the role of Southern women and their continuous struggle to restore their homeland and its dignity, wishing southern, Arab and international women more success, progress and freedom.

Al-Jaadi added, "Southern women have a long history of struggle, as she was one of the pioneers of renaissance and development that made the south pioneer in many fields and assumed the responsibility of restoring the South to its freedom, role and position."

Al-Jaadi touched on developments in the southern arena, and the Transitional Council’s commitment to implementing the provisions of the Riyadh Agreement, and the suffering that southern citizens endure due to the scarcity of essential food commodities and basic services, and the lack of some of them.

The meeting reviewed the reports of the weekly activity of the departments of the General Secretariat, each according to its duties and competence, and the percentages of achievement in the work of the departments, and standing in front of the obstacles facing the progress of their work.

The meeting dealt with a set of opinions and proposals that would work to improve work and overcome difficulties during the next phase.

The Deputy Secretary-General stressed the need to exert more efforts and push forward the tasks entrusted to the departments of the secretariat, in line with the current stage.
