Dr. Al-Khobaji reviews the work progress of the Transitional Council Executive Body in Abyan

Dr. Nasser Al-Khobaji, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Acting President of the Council, Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, met on Thursday, with Mohsen Abdul Saeed, Deputy Head of the Executive Body of the Council's Local Leadership in Abyan Governorate.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Khobaji listened from Mohsen to a detailed explanation of the work of the local leadership and the activities it had implemented during the past period, and its programs and plans for the future period, in addition to an overview about the general situation in the governorate, whose residents have suffered from difficult living conditions throughout the past periods, due to the almost total destruction of the infrastructure by the terrorist organizations.

Dr. Al-Khobaji affirmed that the Southern Transitional Council pays special attention to Abyan, and will do everything in its power to make this governorate receive the attention that parallels to the enormous sacrifices made by its sons.

Al-Khobaji called on the leadership of the Transitional Council in Abyan to make more efforts and get closer to the conditions of the citizens, and touch on their concerns, and devote activities and programs towards contributing to alleviating their suffering.

The meeting touched on the procedures for implementing the Riyadh Agreement, in which Dr. Al-Khobaji confirmed the presence of Abyan there strongly through the Council’s keenness in its negotiations with the other party to not to make it a scene of any military conflicts, and its emphasis on the need for the withdrawal of all the forces that were brought in to where they came from outside the governorate.
