Transitional Council and local authority in Aden discuss preparations to confront Coronavirus

The Southern Transitional Council and the local authority in Aden the capital held an important meeting on Tuesday, in the Investment Hall at Aden Governor’s Office, to discuss the latest preparations to confront the Coronavirus.

The meeting that was chaired by Dr. Abdul Nasser Al-Wali, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Head of the local leadership of the Transitional Council in Aden the capital, and Ahmed Salmin, the governor of the capital Aden, discussed a number of issues related to the major health quarantine centers for Corona virus cases, and the conditions of hospitals and other health complexes.

The meeting previewed the level of arrangements made in the health quarantine center at Al Amal Hospital in Borika, and determined the remaining needs to complete it and be equipped quickly so can receive any suspected case of infection with the Corona virus.

The meeting also discussed the latest preparations in health quarantine centers in the districts of the capital, Aden, and what has been accomplished so far and the level of difficulties facing health offices in this regard.

 In conclusion, the meeting renewed the call for the leadership of the Ministry of Public Health and Population to quickly supply the main center in Al-Amal Hospital in Borika and the rest of the initial quarantine centers in the districts, as well as public hospitals and health complexes, with medical, health and preventive supplies and the necessary equipment to play its positive role in the service of the citizens.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Jamal Khadbakhsh, Director General of the Health Office in Aden, Dr. Salem Al-Shabahi, Head of Health and Environment Committee at the National Assembly, Chairman of the Corona Confrontation Committee of the Transitional Council, and members of the committee and a number of agents and directors of health in the distrcts and central hospitals.
