The General Secretariat holds its weekly meeting chaired by Major General Al-Sokatri

The General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held on Monday, its weekly meeting, headed by Major General Salem Abdullah Al-Sokatri, the Assistant Secretary-General.

The meeting discussed the series of measures approved by the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council in its periodic meeting on Sunday, regarding developments in the situation on the national scene, following the appearance of the first confirmed case of coronavirus in the city of Al-Shehr in Hadramout governorate.

The General Secretariat appealed to the citizens of the capital, Aden, and the rest of the southern governorates, to adhere fully to the precautionary measures taken to help and contribute to preventing Corona infection and limiting its spread.

The meeting also touched on the events witnessed and still being witnessed in the governorate of Socotra, represented by the military escalation and the operations of pursuit and kidnappings practiced by the Brotherhood against the leaders of the Transitional Council and southern military leaders and activists, stressing in the same context that all of these practices are considered to be a consecration of repressive behavior and lack of acceptance of the other on which this group arose.

In the internal affairs, the meeting discussed a number of measures regulating the work of the departments of the General Secretariat in accordance with the recent developments regarding the Corona pandemic, and the necessary measures to be taken in this regard.
