Major General Al-Sokatri launches comprehensive cleaning campaign in Aden the capital

The Assistant Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Major General Salem Abdullah Al-Sokatri, launched on Tuesday, a comprehensive cleaning campaign in Aden the capital in all its districts, with the support of the Transitional Council, represented by the Relief and Humanitarian Affairs Committee in the Transitional Council, and in coincidence with the Cleaning Fund in the capital Aden.

The campaign witnessed the participation of Lawyer Niran Sooki, member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly, Dr. Abdel Nasser Al-Wali, member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, head of the local leadership in the capital Aden, and heads and members of departments of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, heads and members of Transitional Council local leaderships in the districts, General Directors of the districts, and several volunteers from different regions.

The campaign in its first phase included districts of Seera, Al-Mualla, Al-Tawahi and Khormaksar and will last for two days, and will complete its second stage on Saturday in the remaining districts.

Maj. Al-Sokatri was keen to go to all the districts that were included in the campaign, and to ensure that the campaign was carried out as required, according to the goals set for it.

He also listened to the cleaning campaign teams in terms of implementing the plan that was designed to start and complete the campaign according to the specified time.

Al-Sokatri said that the capital, Aden, "will return as beautiful as it was, and will remain beautiful with its good people and cleanliness," stressing that this will not be achieved without joining the efforts of all its sons to return Aden to its beauty.

The campaign targeted the gathering of garbage and landfills, and removing construction waste, dust and rainwater collection, especially after the heavy rain that the capital Aden witnessed during the past few days.

This campaign also comes within the precautionary measures that the Transitional Council is keen to implement in order to prevent the Corona pandemic.
