Chairman of the National Assembly meets Head of Independent Southern Anti-Corruption Commission

The Chairman of the National Assembly, Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, met on Wednesday, at the headquarter of the National Assembly in the capital Aden, Dr. Zaid Qasim Thabet, Head of the Independent Southern Anti-Corruption Commission and a number of its members.

The Chairman of the National Assembly praised the self-efforts of the Commission to combat corruption by seeking and exposing tampering and administrative corruption that are spread in all fields, expressing his happiness with the plan submitted by the Commission in this regard.

For his part, the head of the Independent Southern Commission for Anti-Corruption presented a preliminary proposal vision to reduce the corruption that is raging in all state institutions, pointing out that the proposal contains multiple forms of corruption and mechanisms to reduce it according to the Jeddah dialogue and the Riyadh Agreement in relation to the economic situation in the south.

The meeting was attended by Lutfi Shatara, member of the Transitional Council Presidency, Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly for Financial Inspection and Monitoring, and Dr. Saleh Hassan Al-Wajih, Secretary-General of the Commission.
