Human Rights Department Organizes Symposium on World Day Against Trafficking in Human Being and World Day of Friendship

The Human Rights Department of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council organized on Tuesday, a mini- informative symposium on the World Day against Trafficking in Human Being which is coincides with the World Day of Friendship also. At the beginning of the symposium Head of the Human Rights Department, the Advocate Dikra Maatouq Hussain, welcomed the participants members and staff of the departments of the Secretariat, indicating the objectives of the symposium, which is synchronizing with the World Day against Trafficking in Human Being and the World Day of Friendship.

Advocate Maatouq gave A brief explanation on the Friendship Day, indicated to the friendship relationships between the countries, which affect positively on the interests of the countries. Then Mr. Ramz Azhar, staff of the Human Rights Department, reviewed a number of humanitarian cases that have been subjected to serious violations through exposing to psychological intimidation and physical exploitation, either through the sale of organs or forcing minors to work for many hours.

A number of documented photographs were presented, which dealt with the humanitarian issues and means of awareness aimed at promoting the principles of human rights in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which criminalizes human trafficking and exploitation.
