The Secretary-General discusses with Middle East and North Africa Operations Officer of Geneva Call organization mutual cooperation in humanitarian field

The Secretary-General of the Southern Transitional Council, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, met on Saturday with the Middle East and North Africa Operations Officer at Geneva Call organization, Amal Hamdallah, who is visiting Aden the capital as part of the organization's activities in Yemen and conflicts areas.

During the meeting, the Secretary-General discussed with Amal Hamidullah means of cooperation and joint coordination with the Swiss Organization to promote human rights and to protect the citizens, in addition to combating violence against women, especially in the Southern regions and governorates, which have witnessed many turns over the past years.For her part, Hamdallah presented the role of the organization in the areas of tension and military conflicts and its efforts in focusing on civilians and children protection besides the awareness of the international humanitarian laws that are related to the use of weapons of mass destruction, and violence and discrimination against women and children.

The meeting was attended by Noor Fadhl Abdullah, Head of the Department of Women and Children in the General Secretariat of the Transitional Council, and Dhikra Matouk, Head of the Department of Human Rights in the General Secretariat of the Transitional Council.
