President Al-Zubaidi Meets the Swedish Envoy to Yemen and Libya
The president of the Southern Transitional Council Major General Aidroos Qassim al-Zubaidi met on Monday afternoon at the Swedish Embassy in Abu Dhabi with the envoy of the Kingdom of Sweden to Yemen and Libya, Peter Semneby.
The meeting discussed the efforts made by Sweden and the United Nations to end the war and bring peace and the vision of the Transitional Council in this context. The meeting focused on the southern cause and its political course, the security developments in the southern cities and the counter-terrorism efforts.
The meeting also touched on the bad humanitarian and living conditions and the deterioration of services in the southern governorates and means to enhance them.
The President of the Transitional Council urged the special envoy, through the Government of Sweden, to support the Southern Transitional Council in the democratic, human rights, women's empowerment and other areas of development.
The meeting was attended by the members of the STC Presidency, Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, Adnan Mohammed Al-Kaf, Salem Thabet Al Awlaki and deputy head of the Foreign Relations Department, Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ghaithi.
