Al-Attas Meets the Fishey Cooperative Union and the Preparatory Committee of the Syndicate of Southern Fine Artists



  Member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council and head of the mass action department, Aqeel Al-Attas met this morning with the leadership of the Fishery Cooperative Union (FCU) Aden branch, headed by Ahmed Rashidi.

  The meeting discussed the issues of fishermen and their suffering from marginalization and monopoly practiced by dominant persons. They also discussed the condition of the Union and its readiness to activate the cooperative work in Aden, so that the fishermen get their rights undiminished. The meeting touched on the upcoming meeting of the the FCU General Assembly for Aden branch.

  The head of the mass action department, Aqeel Al-Attas confirmed that the Southern Transitional Council pays great attention to all social groups, especially fishermen, pointing out that the Council will do what it takes to enable them to obtain their rights, adding that the council is seeking to bring together all the southern fishermen in a unified southern entity away from hegemony and influential power that harm their livelihood.


  Member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council and head of the mass action department, Aqeel Al-Attas also met this morning with the preparatory committee of the Syndicate of Southern Fine Artists in its numerical strength.

  At the meeting, members of the preparatory committee confirmed that they decided to hold their general conference to elect a new southern leadership that places its highest priorities for the southern cause and devote their work to serve it. They call on the Transitional Council to support the conference to be held in early March. They also submitted a request to the STC Legal Department to study and review the statute of the syndicate.

  Aqeel Al-Attas praised the members of the preparatory committee of the Syndicate of Southern Fine Artists for the important role they played in preparing the statutes,forms and membership cards, affirming the STC support for any southern component aiming at restoring the southern state and its former boundaries as defined before 21 May 1990.
