The STC Political Department Organizes a Workshop Entitled "Tolerance and Reconciliation"

  Under the auspices of the President of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council Aidroos Qasim al-Zubaidi, the STC Political Department in coordination with the Southern Academy, organized in Aden today a workshop entitled "Tolerance and Reconciliation is a cornerstone for launching the peaceful revolution towards the restoration of the independent southern state".

  The President Aidroos al-Zubaidi said, at the workshop opening, that the twelfth anniversary of the Southern reconciliation and tolerance came after the southerners having overcome their soreness and turning their painful memory into a good one, on which the pillars of the southern peaceful revolution was based and the southern resistance followed its approach for drawing up the features of the new South.

  He added that the leading experience in applying tolerance values was manifested obviously when the southerners chose it as their ideal starting point, that the History will not remove it from its memory and will remain a prominent model role for all generations. This experience will continue to be a guiding principle in all our actions and decisions. Reconciliation and tolerance is a popular and political achievement that the southern people will always maintain in all stages of the struggle to restore their political rights and establish their federal state.

  The President Aidroos al-Zubaidi stressed that tolerance and reconciliation are supreme distinctive qualities and moral and humanitarian values urged by all the heavenly religions and the man-made laws and established deeply by social transactions.

  He pointed out that the post-war consequences and the confusion that followed as a result of conflicting and overlapping interests among a number of influential forces at the national, regional and international arena enabled the hostile forces to the South to implant differences and spread out poisons of hostility and discrimination in order to tear out the southern social fabric. therefor it's required from everyone to deepen tolerance and reconciliation values and reinforce the amnesty and harmony values as a behavior embodied by words and actions, not just raised slogans.
