The STC Discusses with Hadramout' s Tradesmen the Future of Economy in the South

The presidium of the Southern Transitional Council held a meeting this morning under chairmanship of member of the STC presidium Maj gen Ahmad Saeed Bin Berek with a number of enterprisers and business men in Hadhramout governorate.

At the meeting they discussed a number of important issues related to the repercussions of crises fabricated by the government of Ahmad Obaid Bin Dagher  which resulted in the deterioration of the local currency against the foreign currency, in addition to the increase of prices and lack of providing oil derivatives . The meeting is to find solutions to the current situation and to reduce the sufferings of the people , by collaborating all efforts in the framework of adopting positive solutions and suggestions to end this problem .

At the beginning of the meeting Maj Gen Ahmad Saeed Ben Berek and Adnan Al Kaff passed on to the participants at the meeting regards from the STC president Aidros Al Zubaidi .

They reviewed the efforts exerted to form the Southern Transitional Council , a haven for all the southerners, as well as the road map in the southern governorates ,which is considered the main and true carrier of the southern issue. Saying that the STC will be acknowledged by the international community through the popular declaration advocated by the people of the south on the 4th of May 2017 which was announced by president of the presidium Aidros al Zubaidy . The declaration of the STC was followed by structuring the STCs institutions , the National Assembly ,the leadership of the local committees in the governorate  in collaboration and participation of people from all sectors of the society including business and tradesman basing on clear and specific standards.

Bin Berek  assured the participants that the STC does not forget the sacrifices of all the southern people , and that the STC visits to the southern governorates was an assurance that the council represents the people of the south .He called on  all the people of the south to join the STC and to support its efforts to rescue the country.

He pointed that the STC came as a natural result of a long struggle, since 1994 till this day to fight on behalf of the southern people who have suffered a lot because of the irresponsible acts against the people as well as the fact that trades and business men were forced to give up their commercial agencies  by influential powers who were running the southern affairs then .

He praised the role played by the Arab coalition headed by the KSA and the UAE in supporting the southern resistance in making victories over the terrorists and the coup conspirators. He also praised the role played by the two main institutions the security and military forces in combating and facing the terrorists groups the last of which was the incidents which happened on Sunday . He also condemned the negative role played by the legitimate government in reinventing new southern entities under different names and creating and fabricating crises to deteriorate the situation.

On his part Adnan Al Kaff pointed to the corruption acts of the government in  investment issues and damaging the National capital, he assured the STC stand by the society considering it a partner in development , he called on extending efforts in rebuilding the country and to put an end to corruption and the monopoly which is supported by influential powers who are related to the legitimate government as it resulted in creating dangerous consciences on the countrys economy by using those powers in overriding laws in order to safeguard their own interests.

Mr Al Kaff assured that the partnership of the STC with the private sector is to consolidate rebuilding a true strong national economy built on foundations and laws which are required by everyone to respect , he also stressed on the importance to benefit from the expertise and skills of the private sector to elevate the development process as well as considering the interests of all business and trade representatives according to the laws and requirements away from corruption.

On their part a group of the representatives of the trades and business men in Hadhramout expressed their pleasure in meeting the members of the  presidium of the Southern Transitional Council assuring that their support for the STC, they also stressed on the importance of breaking the monopoly of the politically powerful elements in all sectors , activating the proper function of the National Bank and freeing Aden Sea Port and al Mukalla sea Port from the ties which are preventing them from functioning properly due to which the trades community had to redirect businesses elsewhere.
