GDFA Holds Periodic Meeting and Warns Against Any Meetings Targeting the South and its National Cause

The General Directorate of Foreign Affairs (GDFA) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting in the capital, Aden, chaired by the Deputy Director of GDFA, Mr. Anis Al-Sharafi, to review the latest political developments in the national and international arenas.

During its meeting, GDFA warned of the dangers of meetings and conferences taking place in certain capitals and the suspicious agendas targeting the cause of the South and the official brothers in the Arab coalition.

GDGA affirmed that the escalation of the Houthi militia and its aggression against the adjacent areas of the South, in coincidence with terrorist acts targeting the southern forces in Abyan Governorate, indicates that this militia has no seriousness in engaging in the comprehensive political process and peace efforts.

GDFA commended the vigilance of the southern armed forces along the border fronts in confronting Houthi terrorism, strengthening counter-terrorism efforts in the governorates of Abyan and Shabwa with additional forces.

The meeting, too, reviewed the work of GDFA's representatives abroad, their communication with officials, embassies, and organizations, and plans to expand political representation abroad.

The meeting stressed the need to properly perform the assigned tasks both at the regional and international levels, offering political consultations, empowering young capabilities, and intensifying participation in workshops, courses, seminars, and international conferences.
