Preparatory Committee of SJMMC Reviews On-going Prep-Work for First Conference

The Administrative Committee and heads of the sub-committees, which emanated from the Preparatory Committee for the First Southern Journalists and Media Members Conference (SJMMC), held a meeting on Thursday in the capital Aden, chaired by Dr. Abdullah Al-Haw, Head of the Preparatory Committee, that was dedicated to discussing the ongoing preparation for the first conference, which is scheduled to take place from January 17 to18, 2023, in the capital Aden.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al-Haw stressed the high importance placed on the SJMMC as an exceptional event in the southern arena, indicating that this southern media event will have an impact both on the internal and external levels.

The head of the Preparatory Committee asserted the need for concerted efforts by the Preparatory Committee and the sub-committees emanating from it, as well as all southern journalists and media members, to show the capital, Aden, in an ultra-appropriate look to convene this great event.

The meeting discussed several topics on the agenda, including the approval of the constitutive documents submitted to the conference, arrangements for receiving Arab and foreign media delegates and guests, and the required promotional plan until the convening date, in addition to taking certain decisions and following appropriate procedures in that regard.
