Ben Brik Meets with STC's Head Executive Body and Several Members of Assembly in Shabwa Governorate
Major General Ahmed Saeed Ben Brik, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), met, on Thursday, with the head of local leadership executive body of the STC in Shabwa governorate, Brigadier General Ali Ahmed al-Jabwani.
The meeting, which was attended by Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri, member of the presidency of the STC, head of the National Southern Media Authority (NSMA), the official spokesman of the STC, and a number of members of the National Assembly and members of the executive body in Shabwa governorate, discussed the latest political, service, economic and security developments in Shabwa governorate, level of progress and performance of the executive body in the governorate, in addition to the programs that have been implemented during the past period and suggestions for working activities in the upcoming period.
During the meeting, the chairman of the Assembly highlighted the historical role and pioneering struggle of people of Shabwa in all stages, stressing the importance of upgrading the working mechanisms of the executive body, members of the Assembly and all the bodies and departments of the STC in the governorate in line with requirements of the new stage of the STC's work and the upcoming entitlements in implementing directives of the leadership of the STC headed by the president Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi to work in spirit of one team and take a new applicable vision, at all levels, to achieve the aspirations of people of Shabwa and the whole South.
Major General Ben Brik indicated the importance of directing plans and programs in the upcoming period to meet the needs and take responsibilities of the local community issues and citizens in service, economic and security dimensions, in a way that contributes to achieve development and alleviate suffering of the people in Shabwa governorate.
During the meeting, the chairman of the Assembly also reviewed the ongoing preparations to hold the fifth session scheduled in June 13-14, through which required changes will be explained for the next stage; orientation to structure the bodies and institutions of the STC, and focusing attention on service, economic and security facets.
In turn, head of the local leadership executive body and members of the Assembly in Shabwa expressed their gratitude and appreciation to Major General Ahmed Saeed Ben Brik for his interest and following-up of all events in Shabwa governorate which contribute to upgrade and facilitate tasks of the administrative and organizational work, and alleviate the suffering of citizens in this governorate.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier General Ahmed Hadi, Chief Staff of Shabwa Axis.
