President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi meets representatives of international non-governmental organizations in London

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidaroos Qasim Abdulaziz Al-Zubaidi, met on Tuesday with representatives of international non-governmental organizations that are concerned with humanitarian and relief services, and international development. At the meeting, the representatives of the international organizations welcomed President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi for his visit to London, expressing their appreciation for the work of the Southern Transitional Council to facilitate the relief and humanitarian tasks of the international organizations in the southern governorates as well as those headed to the northern governorates. For his part, President Al-Zubaidi expressed his happiness for this meeting, in which he presented the difficult humanitarian situation in Yemen in general and in the South in particular, pointing out that the humanitarian crisis in the country has intensified and needs great efforts to be overcome. President Al-Zubaidi pointed out to the negative role of the Yemeni government and its failure to fulfill its duties such as paying the governmental institutions employees their salaries and not providing the basic services to citizens. President Al-Zubaidi expressed the Southern Transitional Council readiness to coordinate with the international organizations and provide them with information and database in the southern provinces, and to secure their headquarters, and facilitate their missions in Aden the capital and in the southern provinces, and support these organizations to carry out humanitarian and relief operations in the southern provinces, as well as securing their access to northern areas. President Al-Zubaidi pointed out to the difficult humanitarian situation today in the south and the suffering of more than three and a half million southern citizens, in which half of this number is in need of urgent aid. The President of the Southern Transitional Council referred also to the murdering, destruction, and displacement that the southern people being subjected to since the invasion of the south in 1994.
