Southern Transitional Council condemns illegal seizure of land and public property

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held its regular meeting on Sunday under the chairmanship of Major General Ahmed Saeed Ben Brik, member of the Presidency, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Transitional Council.

The meeting discussed the Southern Transitional Council's activities, including the political parties Transitional Council's Dialogue Committee, as well as discussing a number of issues related to the citizens lives, especially in Aden the capital.The meeting also reviewed the arrangements for celebrating the anniversary of southern reconciliation and tolerance to enhance its presence in the consciousness of the community as an important national occasion with great role in strengthening the southern unity.The meeting condemned the acts of robbery and seizure that affect public areas and roads, calling on the security services and local authorities to play their role in stopping such acts, and protecting public property and citizens' interests.The meeting also discussed the continuous erecting of concrete barriers blocking some roads and streets of Aden the capital, causing disruption of people's interests such as blocking the access of patients to hospitals as well as prevent access of the population to their homes that lead to complexity of citizens life.The meeting called on the Southern civil society organizations to strengthen their activities in exposing and rejecting the forces of corruption, which exploit the exceptional circumstances experienced in the country for personal interests illegally.
