Major General Ben Brik witnesses the military parade of support forces on the occasion of the Independence Day

Major General Ahmed Said Ben Brik, President of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, witnessed on Thursday the solemn military parade held on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the glorious Independence Day, 30 November.The military parade was held at the Jalaa camp in Aden the capital and was attended by the commander of the Arab coalition forces, with a number of UAE leaders, and Fadhl Al-Jaadi, acting secretary-general of the Southern Transitional Council, with members of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, Brigadier Nasser Saadi, Lutfi Shatara, Ali Al-Shaiba, and southern security and political leaders.The commander of the support forces, Brigadier General Mahmood Salem, welcomed the attendees and said, "This occasion has come after our people sacrificed a number of martyrs to get freedom and independence."He added: "This joy of freedom is repeated after the liberation of the South in the second victory in 2015 with different name".He stressed that "Our people today represent a masterpiece example of defending their land against the militias of Houthi, with the help of our brothers from the Arab coalition countries, who the people of the South will remain loyal to them generation after generation". Earlier in the morning on the same day, Major General Ahmed Said Ben Brik, and the Acting Secretary-General of the Southern Transitional Council, Fadhl Al-Ja'adi, and Lutfi Shattara, member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, with the Head of the Local leadership of the Transitional Council in Aden the Capital, Dr. Abdul-Nasser Al-Wali, and the Commander of the First Infantry Brigadier General Saif Ali Saleh (Abu Omar), placed flowers on the Memorial Tomb of the  Southern martyr in the district of Tawahi in the capital Aden.
