The Southern Transitional Council sponsors a symposium on the national campaign to prevent carrying weapons

On the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the National Independence Day of 30 November, and under the auspices of the Southern Transitional Council, the district of Mansoora organized on Wednesday a symposium on the national campaign to prevent carrying weapons and shooting in the streets and in weddings celebrations.The seminar was attended by Dr. Abdel Nasser Al-Wali, head of the local leadership of the Transitional Council in Aden the capital, and heads of the main police stations in Mansoora district, and a number of journalists and community activists. At the opening of the simnar, Dr. Amani Anbar, head of the local leadership of Transitional council in Mansoora district, delivered a speech in which she congratulated the attendees on the occasion of the Independence Day, 30th of November.Dr. Amani stressed on the importance of preventing carrying weapons and the need to work on reducing this act that causes many casualties and losses.The head of the campaign, Ramzi Mohammed Qassem, presented in the seminar the objectives and tasks of the campaign to prevent weapons and shooting at celebrations and weddings.Colonel Mohammed Ahmed, director of planning and projects in the capital Aden, addressed the procedures required to protect the security of the citizens.In her turn, Dr. Nada Faisal Al-Mahrami, professor at the University of Aden, explained the psychological damage caused by shooting  in streets and weddings and their impact on people
