Lamlas stresses on the importance of activating the southern theater movement and praises its role in the struggle of our people

The Secretary-General of the Southern Transitional Council, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, met today at the headquarter of the General Secretariat, the theatrical artist Salem Al-Abab, who is considered one of the most pioneers and stars of the southern theater art. The Secretary-General of the Southern Transitional Council praised the pioneering role played by the art and literature in the march of the Southern revolution and in expressing the aspirations and suffering of the people of the South. Lamlas discussed with Al-Abab the conditions of artists and southern actors and ways to restore the creative spirit of the southern artist and how to revive the southern theater movement, which has suffered a lot during the past period. The Secretary General confirmed the Southern Transitional Council keenness to restore the glamor of the southern art, pointing out that the Council will work according to its available possibilities to use the qualified staff to produce some southern art works that highlight the creative excellence of the southern artists and to preserve and promote the belonging to the historical and cultural identity of the South. For his part, the artist Salem Al-Abab thanked the Secretary-General for his warm hospitality and expressed his appreciation for the keenness shown by the Southern Transitional Council for giving the southern art and artist care and attention.
