Human Rights Department of Southern Transitional Council holds consultative meeting in Lahj

The Human Rights Department at the General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council held a consultative meeting with the Human Rights Department of the local leadership in Lahj Governorate and heads of districts departments.In the meeting that was held at the Transitional Council local headquarter in the city of Al-Houta of Lahj province, the head of Human Rights department at the Southern Transitional Council, Zekra Matook, presented detailed explanation on the nature and importance of working for humanity, protecting human rights, safeguarding human dignity, and ways for monitoring the humanitarian violations as per international mechanism.   The heads of departments in the governorate reviewed their work plans for the coming period and the nature of difficulties they face in their field work. The director of human rights department at the local leadership of the Lahj province, Dr. Ali Haidra, presented a brief on the nature of the human rights department activities in the governorate, and its districts, stressing That "the next will be much better, and he has great confidence in these young people."The head of Transitional Council local leadership in Lahj province, Dr. Fadhl Hamash, delivered a speech in which he thanked the members of the Human Rights Department of the Transitional Council for their presence in the province of Lahj, saying that this visit and this meeting is good and important news, as it coincided with the events witnessed in the south.Hamash, expressed his pleasure for seeing these qualities and their outstanding work, hoping that such meetings and workshops will be repeated for their role in activating the work and its implementation on the ground.
