President of The Southern Transitional Council receives the Ambassador of Britain, Mr. Michael Aaron

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidros Qassem Al-Zubaidi, received at his residence in the Jordanian capital Amman, Mr. Michael Aaron, the United Kingdom Ambassador to Yemen.

In the meeting, the bilateral relations and the developments of the Yemeni crisis reviewed. Al-Zubaidi praised the British efforts for peace and stability in the region.

The British Ambassador expressed his happiness at this meeting, stressing the British position that understands the need to resolve the South cause with fair solution, and the importance of the southerners presence in the upcoming consultations and the next round of negotiations.

The President of the Southern Transitional Council confirmed the readiness of southerners for the peace process, noting that the presence of southerners will be a catalyst for peace.

The British ambassador welcomed the Southern Transitional Council's stance on the peace process, praising the peaceful approach of the Southern Transitional Council towards restoring its political rights and resolving its cause fairly, stating that the South has been subjected to unfair discrimination since 1994.

The meeting was attended by the President of the Southern National Assembly, Major General Ahmad Saeed Bin Brik, Secretary General of the Council Ahmed Lamlas, Member of the Negotiations Affairs Unit Eng. Adnan Al-Kaf, the Head of the STC Local leadership in Aden, Dr. Abdul Nasser Al-Wali and the Deputy Head of the General Department of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Al-Ghaithi.
